We are Spartanburg's most modern boarding facility, designed to be a happy place for your four-legged family member. Situated on over two acres of wooded property, Southport Kennel boasts nearly 10,000 square feet of boarding space, including climate-controlled runs, where your pet can stretch out in comfort. Whether it’s a day stay or an extended vacation, our safe and spacious facility is the perfect place to run, fetch, nap, and get pampered.

Rates are priced per night per pet

DOGS    

Suite / $47.50  Non-Suite / $35.50  

Dog suites are about twice the square footage of non-suites and include raised bedding. 

CATS      

Suite / $29.75 Non-Suite / $23.75

Cat suites include play structures and lounging areas.

15% discount for additional dog or cat from same household (address on vaccination records must be the same).

  • Boarding is a great option for pets who need a safe, supervised environment while you're away, whether for a weekend trip, extended vacation, or work travel. At Southport Kennel, our experienced team provides attentive care, so your pet stays comfortable, active, and safe in your absence.

  • Your pet's safety and well-being are our top priority. Southport Kennel maintains a clean, secure facility with trained staff who monitor pets. We take time to get to know each animal in our care, so your pet receives personalized attention tailored to their personality and needs.

  • Drop-off and pick-up times are the same as our normal hours of operation:

    Monday – Friday
    7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

    Saturday            
    7:30 AM – 12:00 PM

    Sunday                
    2:00 – 6:00 PM

  • No, we do not require pets to be spayed or neutered prior to boarding.

  • Yes. For the safety of all pets in our care, pets must show no signs of aggressive behavior or resource guarding (such as food, toys, or space).

  • All pets must be up to date on the following vaccines before attending:

    Dogs

    • Bordetella

    • Rabies

    • DHLPP

    Cats

    • Rabies

    • FVRCP

    The Canine Influenza vaccine is strongly recommended. Our team will advise you on whether it is required prior to your pet's first visit.
